Proses untuk membangunkan agensi bukan satu kerja yang mudah dan bukan boleh dibuat pada masa yang singkat. Pelbagai proses dan peringkat harus dilalui dan setiap proses mempunyai cabaran dan dugaan yang tersendiri. Oleh itu, kita perlu persiapkan diri kita dengan ilmu, pengalaman, mentor yang ingin melihat kita berjaya, rakan seperjuangan dan yang paling penting adalah agent-agent dibawah naungan kita mempunyai Common Vision, Common Values dan Common Language.
Pada pengalaman saya yang melihat bagaimana agency-agency manager yang berjaya di Prudential, perkara utama adalah, perlunya ada persekitaran yang positif dan perlunya ada kerja berpasukan antara pihak pengurusan (LMT-Leadership Management Team) dan agent-agent.
Didalam Prudential terdapat beberapa peringkat yang perlu dilalui oleh agent dalam usaha untuk membangunkan agensi mereka sendiri.
Agent -> Sales Manager -> Unit Manager -> Agency Manager -> Senior Agency Manager
1. Requirement Untuk menjadi Sales Manager
- Must be a PRUcenturion (100,000 NPC), followed by a year with minimum 150K NPC prior to promotion to Sales Manager.
- Must complete CAT1 and certified to sign YLP.
- Must recruit at least 2 new agents with YTD NPC of 20,000 NPC each. (Please note that immediate family members i.e. parents, spouse, brothers, sisters, sons or daughters will not be taken into account for this purpose)
Note: Promotion of Sales Manager will be carried out on a quarterly basis (i.e. on 31 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December). The appointment of Sales Manager will be effective from the 1st of the month in the following quarter.
- Served as an agent for at least 24 months with a minimum of 50,000 NPC in 2007 and a PRUcenturion in 2008.
- Minimum 2 contracted agents with at least 20,000 NPC each by 30 June 2008.
- Minimum of 5 contracted agents of which 2 must produce at least 50,000 NPC each and 3 must produce at least 20,000 NPC each by December 2008. These 5 key agents must be DIRECT RECRUIT of the agent applying for promotion to Unit Manager. (Please note that immediate family members i.e. parents, spouse, brothers, sisters, sons or daughters will not be taken into account for this purpose)
- Minimum total Direct Unit production of 200,000 NPC in the year prior to promotion.
- Minimum personal First Year Persistency of 85% for two (2) consecutive financial years prior to promotion.
- Must pass MII’s BAMC examination prior to promotion.
- Must complete CAT 1 prior to promotion
